Mariam Adetokunbo is an alumnus of the renowned London Collegeof Journalism, Fleet street EC4 England, where she studied Mass Communication and International Relations and graduated in 1985.
She observed the mandatory NYSC in 1986,in the Chambers of the late renowned, activist Lawyer, Mr Kanmi Ishola Osobu. She is a seasoned journalist who had worked at various media outfits, such as Vanguard under the tutelage of Mr Sam Amuka. At the Punch Newspaper there She worked with another activist and Afenifere chieftain Mr Ayo Opadokun
In 1994, she joined the Lagos State Local Government Service,where she served at various Local Government Area Councils of the State.
In 2006,as part of the restructuring and re-organisation of the Local Government system, she was moved to the mainstream of the State Civil Service.
On assumption at the State service, she worked as Public Affairs Officer,Lagos State Arts and Culture, she also,served as the Divisional Head, Lagos Division.
She is presently the Public Affairs Officer, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA)
Mariam Adetokunbo is a member of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
A member of Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ).
She has attended several high capacity building Serminars, in and outside the State.
She is a goal getter,who has a lot of passion for her profession.
