LASEPA CONDUCTS COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT OF ZONAL OFFICES
In furtherance of efforts to reposition and re-engineer the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) for better service delivery, the General Manager of the Agency, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, on Friday embarked on a visit and on-the-spot assessment of the operational facilities at Lekki, Epe, Lagos Mainland and Surulere Zonal Offices of the Agency.
During the visit, Dr. Ajayi gained invaluable insights into the zonal offices’ day-to-day operations and challenges. This hands-on approach underscores his unwavering commitment to ensuring optimal performance and efficiency across all operational zones.
At the end of the visit, the General Manager expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment to duty, dedication and hard work exhibited by the officers. He reminded the zones of the critical importance of maintaining elevated standards in environmental protection and regulatory activities, emphasising the need to safeguard the well-being of Lagos State residents.
“This visit is a clear demonstration of our unyielding commitment to environmental sustainability and the welfare of our communities. It is imperative that we continually assess and enhance our operations to better serve the public”, he added
The visit was a continuation of the General Manager’s initial assessment of zonal facilities and meeting with officers, following his assumption of office.
Dr. Ajayi had earlier visited the Alimosho zonal office of LASEPA for an on-the-spot assessment and to ascertain the agency’s readiness to enforce the Lagos State Environmental Laws.
